Remembrance Day At Paisley Lodge
Residents and staff at Paisley Lodge spent some time making posters to remember the hero’s and then put these up around the home for everyone to see, residents also wanted to colour in poppy wreaths, so the staff arranged for them to do so.
On the day itself residents got involved in an online Skype church service, the service was very beautiful and made some of the group very emotional. Everybody who got to experience the service was very grateful and said they got a lot out of it.
Once 11am arose the home held a two-minute silence, following this they got together to discuss what they remembered about the war. Most of the residents shared that they were children at the time but they do have memories of having to take gas masks with them everywhere.
