What is a Reconnect community?
Our Reconnect communities offer genuine inclusion by supporting residents to remain independent, engaged and interested in daily activities of their choosing. We believe people living with dementia can live a full and active lifestyle, and should be able to continue with their hobbies and passions with the support of our incredible team.
As well as renovating bedrooms, communal areas and kitchens, we've updated several of our award-winning care homes to include facilities you may find in many people’s homes; such as DIY work rooms, laundry facilities, arts and craft rooms and gardening equipment!
The homely environments in our Reconnect communities are cosy, clean and spacious, with plenty of room for residents to explore. Whether your loved one enjoys socialising with friends or prefers time on their own, our dementia-friendly team are on hand to support them.
Our dementia Reconnect communities encourage positive involvement, giving people a voice and supporting them to live a fulfilled life. We put together individualised care plans to ensure their their medical, physical and emotional needs are met, and have adopted ground-breaking technologies to safely monitor levels of distress in our residents. It's thanks to this that we've seen a drastic improvement in residents happiness, health and overall wellbeing.
To make this kind of living possible, we have higher ratios of carers, nurses and care assistants; all of who have received enhanced training in dementia care. Our Dementia Promise enables our team to genuinely understand the needs of a person living with dementia, and put practical, effective care plans in place. We work with the resident, family and health professionals to ensure they receive the highest level of care, suited to their needs.

Why choose a Reconnect community?
"I had been worried about how Mum would settle in her new home, but I need not have worried as she was truly fine. Our welcome on the day was very warm, friendly and so relaxed. The staff were so chatty and smiley, and Mum loves people who smile. All the staff were so helpful, and nothing was too much trouble.
The manager also welcomed Mum into the home personally, which was lovely. The home was warm, clean, and nicely decorated. The staff put on entertainment, i.e. music, films, TV, and games, and they are always interacting with residents. Mum loves this, and it shows."
