Each and every one of our 23 award-winning care homes are warm and welcoming. Whether you’re looking for residential care, nursing care or dementia friendly care, we’ve got you covered! Our aim is to create more than just a care home for our residents and their families – we strive for a real cosy, homely environment where everybody is able to thrive within the community. We are really proud of the work that we do to create this setting to ensure our care home environments are stimulating, fulfilling and yet completely safe and peaceful.
Our homes are modern, yet traditional. They combine space and cosy comforts to a perfect ratio as all homes have snug, inviting lounges as well as more open communal spaces. It also goes without saying that the homely environment is further provided through a daily menu change of nutritionally balanced dishes! Home is where the food is, right?
Facilities
As well as lounges and communal spaces, we offer a vast array of different rooms and communal areas which allow our people to enjoy the best quality of life. Many of our homes have resident kitchenettes, quiet rooms and sensory areas in order to meet the needs of every person and every activity.
All bedrooms have been decorated with bright fittings and furnishings to create a real happy, uplifting environment. They also provide a blank canvas so that residents can personalise their rooms with pictures, personal items and their most cherished possessions! All bedrooms are also equipped with Nurse call facilities. In many of our homes, bedrooms may also have an ensuite or ensuite wet room.
Did you know that some of our homes even have bars, cinemas and activity rooms? These wonderful additions allow for creativity, relaxation and social interaction – there truly is a room for every different mood and desire!
All our homes have amazing outdoor areas too which are designed to be enjoyed all year round - whether it’s to relax reading a book or to stimulate in outdoor arts and crafts. Green-fingered residents are also encouraged to help maintain the gardens if they wish!
"Thornton Hall and Lodge is easily accessible by public transport and also has an ample car park. On entering the building, welcoming staff greet you with a smile and a bit of banter. Inside, the carers strive to maintain a tidy, hygienic environment and keep the residents groomed and clean. There is an excellent programme of activities and daily menu on the notice board. Family and friends are always welcome to join in. There is a beautiful, well-kept, safe, garden with benches and a table under a gazebo. I like to walk with my brother there, so he can get a bit of fresh air and exercise, and snack and play a board game or do a jigsaw together. My brother doesn't know where he is, but I feel rest assured he is in the best place."

A Home from Home: Our Reconnect Communities
Our Reconnect Communities provide high-quality specialist care for people living with dementia. Residents are actively encourage to utilise our spacious, modern communal areas and engage in activities they've always loved - or even try something new!
Reconnect communities have additional utility and laundry spaces, DIY areas, gardening rooms and arts and crafts areas. This environment works alongside the individualised care plans and ground-breaking modern gadgets to ensure that people are living independently and most importantly, happily.
One Big Community
Our care home teams will be waiting at the door to greet you with a welcoming smile and a friendly hello. Although they may differ in care types provided, all of our homes have a true family feel and a caring community. With on-site activity coordinators as well as the homes’ proximities to local churches and neighbourhoods, it also allows for a community feel outside the home too. What more could you wish for?
