Nesfield Lodge Reunite With Sharp Lane Primary School

Residents at Nesfield Lodge began a pen pal scheme with Sharp Lane Primary School. 

Over the past 6 years Nesfield Lodge have a built up a fantastic relationship with Sharp Lane Primary School and weren’t going to let the pandemic get in the way of continuing to connect. They have been coming up with news ways of staying in touch and have recently began a pen pal scheme.

Over the last few weeks some of the residents have created artwork and wrote letters about their hobbies and interests, as well as writing meaningful quotes to send to the children at the school. 

“Keeping in touch with Sharp Lane primary school is so important as this is an emotional benefit for both generations.” Activities co-ordinator, Danielle Bird commented.

Resident Anne was delighted about the scheme, “I really enjoyed writing to the school children and sharing my stories, I cannot wait for the school children to read our letters and hopefully we will get to see them all in the near future” she told the staff.
