Baking Day At Castleford Lodge

The group at Castleford Lodge enjoyed getting their hands into some squidgy dough as they made their own bread.

They made sure to spend 2 minutes kneading the dough and 10 minutes proving it, the smell filled the whole room and residents couldn’t wait to see the end result.

They added cheddar cheese and sundried tomatoes to the bread to make it extra special and they watched on as it increased in size. The experience evoked many wonderful memories of both childhood and motherhood for the ladies.

Once the loaves were all cooked, everyone settled in with a cup of tea and a slice of bread with butter, it went down a treat and everyone went back for seconds.
