Musical Duo Entertain Sunderland Residents

A local musical duo spent their afternoon entertaining residents recently at Lansbury Court, in Sunderland. With Danielle singing, and Dan accompanying her on guitar, the recent university graduates performed from a varied repertoire of popular songs. The home frequently invites performers from the local community into the home. A recent performance from young dance school students being a highlight of this year’s programme of entertainment. Contributing to the musical theme, Danielle and Dan have been regularly attending the home to give performances, throughout their studies at University. One resident Barry commented, “The two of them are fantastic. I thoroughly enjoyed their version of Bruce Springsteen’s Dancing in the Dark, as it reminds me of a similar song I myself once wrote.” Another resident Susan remarked, “I absolutely adore Bryan Adams. It was lovely to hear his hits performed live by two very talented musicians.” Activity Coordinator Christine Callaghan added, “The performances are always so well received and have everyone up and dancing the afternoon away. Such a big part of life at the home is connecting with the community.
