15 years of care, compassion and cooking up a storm: Stacy’s adventures at Archers Park

For 15 years, Stacy has provided the people of Archers Park Care Home with kindness, high quality care and great culinary skills. To celebrate this incredible workaversary, Stacy was awarded with her card and gifts surrounded by much-loved colleagues and residents.

Before stepping into the world of care, Stacy worked in customer service where she discovered her love for people and a flair for creating positive rapports with them. In fact, her favourite thing about working at Archers Park is the relationships she has developed with her colleagues: “The team we have… it feels like family.”

“I love my role because I enjoy being part of the kitchen team and putting my passion for cooking to good use, and yet I also get to see the residents regularly. It’s so rewarding seeing them so happy and well cared for.”

Stacy has a positive impact on everyone around her and her hard work is truly appreciated. Home Manager Lisa said that if she had to describe Stacy in one sentence, she’d say that she is kind, caring, compassionate and a real team player!

In the kitchen, it’s safe to say that Stacy is a real whizz – she’s always getting involved in every stage of the process whether that’s planning, creating, baking, cooking, cleaning… her favourite meal to cook though will always be a lasagne.

“Prior to my current food service role in the home, I have worked as Care Assistant and Activities Coordinator and learnt different skills along the way, taking advantage of every opportunity.” That’s right, Stacy brings more to the table than just a tasty meal.

“My various roles and experiences have prepared me well for the most challenging part of my role, which is time management. It can be difficult to get all tasks done on time as a Kitchen Assistant in a care home, but it’s such a rewarding role and we all work as a team!”

A huge congratulations to Stacy on her marvellous milestone and all her achievements along the way. It’s clear to us that Stacy knows all the ingredients needed for a perfect care home catering career!
