• What kind of activities are on offer at your residential home?

Our team of Activity Co-Ordinators host fun events weekly. From karaoke to dancing, chair exercises to bingo and much more, every day is fun at Lansbury Court Care Home!

• Do you have communal areas where residents can socialise?

We have plenty of areas to relax and socialise in, including our large communal lounges. Chat with friends, watch TV or unwind in our comfy chairs - or why not explore our beautiful gardens?

• What types of care do you offer?

Lansbury Court Care Home offers residential care, dementia care, and respite care.

• Do you provide short-term/respite care?

Yes, we offer short-term respite care at our care home in Sunderland! 

• What qualifications and training do your team have?

Many of our team members are qualified within their specialist area! However, at Orchard Care Homes, we always promote our excellent learning and development opportunities to all colleagues. From day 1, everyone is welcome to take advantage of our training programmes, including our Dementia Promise. 

• What is your weekly fee?

Our current weekly starting fees can be found in our Key Facts overview, but we can give you a more detailed price breakdown after you've booked an assessment with us.

• What is included in the weekly fee?

Our weekly fee includes the following:

1. Full board and accommodation in a room for your exclusive use.
2. A choice of meals, plus snacks and drinks.
3. Full use of the communal areas and gardens in the home subject to unit accessibility.
4. The opportunity to join in with activities run in the home and the use of recreational facilities (you may be asked for a financial contribution to the cost of some excursions).
5. The cost of your personal care. For example, assistance with washing, bathing, medication (provided under the NHS free prescription scheme) and other personal services
6. Housekeeping and Laundry undertaken on the premises excluding dry cleaning.
7. Liaison with healthcare professionals.
8. WiFi internet access throughout the home

• Do you accept Local Authority funding?

We accept both privately funded and Local Authority funded residents. Local Authority funded residents may be required to pay a ‘Top-up’ fee if there is a shortfall between the amount that the Local Authority pays and the full amount of our charges.

• How do I know if the home is right for me or my loved one?
