Kelly from Grimsby Grange & Manor makes a difference
Kelly Payne, who works at Orchard Care Homes’ Grimsby Grange & Manor residence in Second Avenue, Grimsby, was declared a winner in the company’s Making A Difference Award scheme for May 2021.
Home Manager Caroline Whelpton presented Kelly with a £30 gift voucher, saying “Kelly is at the forefront of our care home, and supports every single staff member, relative and resident, adopting each task with a kind, confident `can do` approach. Her relationships with residents, their families and staff are exceptional, and feedback is extremely positive.”
Kelly was delighted to receive her voucher. “I really enjoy my job at Grimsby Grange, and it was lovely to be acknowledged by the people I live and work with every day. I spent the voucher on cleaning products for my new home so every time I use them, I will remember this special award.”
The Making a Difference initiative is aimed at retaining existing staff and attracting new recruits into the sector. Hayden Knight, CEO at Orchard, said “We cannot provide the high level of care that we do for our residents without our dedicated team of care professionals. It’s not an easy job but certainly a rewarding one and we hope that by receiving acknowledgment that their efforts have been recognised it will incentivise all care staff to keep on going that extra mile.”
