A Cracking Christmas Party at Chatsworth Lodge
Christmas arrived in style at Chatsworth Lodge this year, bringing with it music, dancing and plenty of laughter. With residents and families coming together, the annual Christmas Party captured exactly what the season is all about - shared moments, familiar traditions and a strong sense of community.

A professional singer from LPP Events took centre stage on the day, delivering a festive soundtrack. It wasn’t long before toes were tapping, voices were joining in, and the dance floor was well and truly open for business. With the home dressed for the season throughout December, the setting was the perfect backdrop for a proper Christmas get-together.
This year’s party took place at lunchtime - a change that proved to be a real cracker. The earlier timing meant more families could attend, and the home was buzzing from start to finish.
The catering team pulled out all the stops with a grand festive buffet, making sure no one left hungry, while drinks were served to suit all tastes, from soft drinks to a festive tipple or two.
Music and dancing remained at the heart of the afternoon, giving residents the chance to socialise, reminisce and enjoy the moment with friends and loved ones.
A raffle added an extra dash of excitement, with one particularly lucky resident managing to scoop three prizes – enough sweet treats to keep her sweet tooth busy well into 2026!

Residents were keen to share what the festive season means to them. Betty Vickers, aged 96, said she loves the social side of Christmas and is always happy to get up for a dance. Pauline Sharland, 89, shared how much parties lift her spirits and make her feel happy. For Mavis Dann, 94, Christmas at Chatsworth Lodge feels just like home and is all about spreading joy and cheer, whether through Christmas cards or friendly conversations. Andrew Binns, 80, also enjoyed a trip down memory lane, reminiscing about his 15 years spent dressing up as Santa.

Families were equally pleased to be part of the celebrations. Jackie, Bruce's partner, said she loves visiting the home and seeing Bruce relaxed and enjoying himself. Peter, Sylvia’s son, described dancing together as emotional and memorable, while Jayne, daughter to Maureen, said it was lovely to see her mum out of her room, joining in and soaking up the party atmosphere.
By the time the last song played, and the dance floor cleared, it was clear Chatsworth Lodge’s Christmas Party had been a proper festive cracker. Residents and families shared laughter, stories and a few cheeky tipples, creating memories that will last well beyond the tinsel and fairy lights.
At Chatsworth Lodge, Christmas is about more than just decorations and treats - it’s a celebration of community, connection, and a touch of festive mischief that makes the season truly special.
