“I feel very strongly that I need to write this positive and heartfelt review of Archers Park Care Home which has been the home of my late father for the past 17 months. My Dad arrived at Archers Park and was immediately welcomed into the home by the amazing team of carers and management.

The home itself is bright, airy and feels incredibly warm and welcoming. His room was clean, freshly decorated, with new curtains and accessories appropriate for a male resident. Dad settled immediately and as a family, we left him in the knowledge that he was safe and most importantly cared for. My dad’s health deteriorated over his time at Archers Park but with the help of a brilliant GP service, a flow of trained professionals and the love of the carers he was happy. I cannot recommend and thank the home enough for the care my father received from Management, carers, the cooks, laundry staff and also the maintenance team who always went out of their way to say hello. Thank you.”

Meet the Manager

Hello, my name is Marlena Derda and I am the Home Manager at Archers Park Care Home. I began my career working as a care assistant in 2011 before progressing to a senior care assistant. My passion for medication management and end of life care for residents led me to complete my Level 2 and 3 NVQ.

In 2019 I joined the Orchard family working as a Deputy Manager and completed my NVQ level 5 in Leadership and Management in this time before progressing to Home Manager in 2021. I am overjoyed at the opportunity to manage Archers Park and work alongside the wonderful dementia care staff and residents. I am very excited to strive towards making this home the best it can be.

Marlena Derda.
