Staff and Residents at Sunderland Care Homes Receive Second Dose of Vaccine
With these jabs comes a much brighter outlook as everyone is thrilled to welcome back their loved ones into the home in the near future. Both residents and staff are looking forward to getting back to spending time surrounded by their family once again.
Archers Park resident Josie Jones commented, “I feel so much more comfortable having my second vaccine and so grateful for this opportunity.”
Home Manager at Archers Park, Sharon Easterbrook-Smith, said “I am so delighted my residents have received their second COVID vaccine and families are happy, their loved ones have more protection and we can continue to keep them safe and well.”
Archers Court Home Manager, Libby Taws, said “COVID vaccines are paramount to ensure that we all remain safe while trying to get back to a near normal life, whatever normal means and I worked with our care home nurses to facilitate the process. We were all a little apprehensive with the first vaccine but excited to receive the second. It has given us the best chance of reducing the risk of any infection while ensuring the safety of our residents.”
