Paisley Lodge head out to the garden

27 May 2021 News

Residents at Paisley Lodge Care Home have enjoyed getting some fresh air whilst helping out in the garden.

They started out weeding, racking and digging with big smiles on their faces, many of the residents have been gardening since they were young so this reminded them of their younger days.

They all agreed that the sound of the bids was so soothing and uplifting, one of the residents who is blind found the activity to be very helpful, “I love hearing all the birds, this has made me very happy and emotional at the same time,” he told staff.

This wasn’t the last time residents will be out in the garden, they have plans to makeover the flower beds in time for summer and can’t wait to begin work on them.
