Staff and residents from Eckington Court in Derbyshire, recently made the most of their newly landscaped garden with an outdoor party. Residents, including Audrey, Masie, Dorothy, Robert, Eileen, Brian, and Jenny, together with members of the care team, enjoyed a buffet lunch of sandwiches and cakes in the sunshine, as well as a musical performance by local musician Max Silver. Max sang from a repertoire spanning the fifties and sixties, which soon had residents singing along and jiving to the tunes. Home Manager Trudy Godley commented, “There has been a lot of work done recently on the garden and it looks absolutely fantastic, so with the sun shining, we thought, what better excuse for a party? “Everyone had loads of fun, and there was lots of positive feedback from residents and their relatives. We are already looking forward to the next one.” To keep up to date with news from the home, follow us on Facebook and YouTube.
