Castleford Lodge Meet the Mayor of Wakefield

Staff from Castleford Lodge were delighted to welcome the Mayor of Wakefield outside their home.

Due to the current circumstances the Mayor did not enter the home but took some time out of his busy schedule to drop some gifts off and speak to the staff members. Tracey and Shelly from the activities team welcomed the Mayor and enjoyed speaking with them.

The Mayor send a special heartfelt thank you to the staff for their tremendous efforts during the pandemic. He also emailed a lovely video for residents to watch, in this he sent Christmas wishes to the residents and staff, the video also features messages from school children across the district and performances from the church choir.

Residents loved watching the video and were overjoyed with the chocolates, calendars and biscuits that the Mayor of Wakefield dropped off.
