Many of our team members are qualified within their specialist area! However, at Orchard Care Homes, we always promote our excellent learning and development opportunities to all colleagues. From day 1, everyone is welcome to take advantage of our training programmes, including Dementia Friends.

• What is included in the weekly fee?

Our weekly fee includes the following:

1. Full board and accommodation in a room for your exclusive use.
2. A choice of meals, plus snacks and drinks.
3. Full use of the communal areas and gardens in the home subject to unit accessibility.
4. The opportunity to join in with activities run in the home and the use of recreational facilities (you may be asked for a financial contribution to the cost of some excursions).
5. The cost of your personal care. For example, assistance with washing, bathing, medication (provided under the NHS free prescription scheme) and other personal services
6. Housekeeping and Laundry undertaken on the premises excluding dry cleaning.
7. Liaison with healthcare professionals.
8. WiFi internet access throughout the home

• Do you accept Local Authority funding?

We accept both privately funded and Local Authority funded residents. Local Authority funded residents may be required to pay a ‘Top-up’ fee if there is a shortfall between the amount that the Local Authority pays and the full amount of our charges.
