We’re raising money for Dementia UK!
A team of volunteers from the Orchard Care Homes group have joined Dementia UK’s Walk 30 Miles in September challenge!
Reframing the approach to care provision for people living with dementia is front of mind for Orchard Care Homes. We’re passionate about challenging years of formulaic, impersonal care practices in the sector, that are still all too common today. We believe people should be treated as individuals, not shaped by their diagnoses. We are eager to aid charities whose values and purpose align with our own, making Dementia UK a great charity to support!
Throughout the month of September, Orchard Care Homes are aiming to raise £1,000 for Dementia UK, with all proceeds going to the life-changing work they do. You can read all about their commitments to dementia care, here.
Our team will be walking, jogging, running and even cycling to help raise vital funds for families facing dementia. From our central team in Harrogate to Sunderland and beyond, we have a great group of volunteers across the UK helping to raise awareness for this worthy cause!
