Musical Moments at Ashlea Mews

Residents at Ashlea Mews Care Home have enjoyed some entertainment from Michaela from Musical Memories.

Keeping in line with current social distancing rules, Michaela an entertainer from Musical Memories visited the South Shields care home to perform for residents. Everyone took to the garden to enjoy Michaela’s performance and she did not disappoint with her array of songs, she sang all the classics, from The Beatles to Abba.

Residents were singing and dancing along in their seats as Michaela sang, “I love being outside listening to music, it makes me so happy,” Christine said. The songs took residents on a trip down memory lane, they talked about their favourite songs growing up and laughed away as they recalled the dances they went to.
