Eckington Court Celebrate 2020 With a Bang

Brian is a real favourite at Eckington Court Care Home as all the residents have a great time every time he visits the home, on this occasion he spent 2 hours singing to our residents and even got some of our residents up on their feet dancing.

Irene who is the eldest resident at the home was the first one up, she said, "I am 99 years old, 100 in February and I can still dance with the best! I feel great, a good dance and listening to some great music is all you can ask for really."

Dancing is hugely encouraged by all the staff at Eckington Court as they know how much the residents love it and it’s great for keeping them active and in shape. The session not only keeps residents in shape but also brings back many positive memories for them, some of the residents met their partners at dances so this is the perfect activity for them.
