Great Grimsby Day Celebrations at Eaton Court Care
Residents from Eaton Court Care Home in Grimsby climbed aboard the Oomph minibus and enjoyed a sightseeing drive around Grimsby.
They took some time to look at some of the landmarks in the area such as the Dock and football club.
After stopping for hot drinks at McDonalds and enjoying a sing-along with bus driver Ken, the group visited Cleethorpes for a walk down the beachfront and finished the day with fish and chips at the famous, award-winning Papa’s Fish and Chip restaurant.
A good time was had by all, including Mary who said, “I had a great day looking at all the old places I used to go when I was younger, it brought back so many memories.”
Another resident on the trip, Betty, commented, “I loved walking out in the fresh sea air.”
Great Grimsby Day celebrates the town and everyone in it and Eaton Court’s Home Manager, Anne Ruttle, was only too happy to be involved in the celebrations. “Our residents had a great day, out and about in Grimsby. They are proud to be a part of the local community and wanted to show their appreciation for the town and its wonderful amenities.”
