Eaton Court Make Their Very Own Bird Feeders

21 April 2020 News

Residents from Grimsby care home Eaton Court have been getting creative and made their own bird feeders.

Residents got stuck into the fun and couldn’t wait to see the finished result, they started by cutting holes in milk bottles to get the right shape and then came the fun part, decorating! Everyone wanted to personalise their bird feeders to their taste, so they were given free rein to create their own weird and wonderful designs.

They added both sticky paper and tiles to the bottles, with some of the residents favouring spotted designs whilst others choosing geometric shapes. They finished off by adding their names to their masterpieces and were surprised by how great they all looked. Dot told staff, “I loved making it, and I am pretty pleased with it hanging on my patio.”
