Easter at Cherry Trees Care Home

20200412_122708.jpgResidents at Cherry Trees Care Home in Rotherham celebrated Easter with an abundance of chocolate and chatting.

Staff treated all the residents to an Easter egg of their choice and the smiles on the resident's faces could not have been any bigger, they sat back and indulged in their treats whilst talking about past Easters and what their favourite traditions were, June told everyone, “oh I used to love buying my children Easter eggs when they were younger, and when they were older too!”

Some of the new residents remarked that it had been years since they last had an Easter egg and they sure had missed it. In a lovely act of kindness, one of the resident’s family members spoilt staff by buying them all an Easter egg each, so that they were not missing out on the fun.

The hospice nurse was given a bucket full of Easter goodies by the staff in return for the kindness and care she has shown residents and staff and she was hugely grateful. The day ended with everyone relaxing and talking about how much fun they had and what a great day it had been.
