Christmas Festivities kick off for the residents of Orchard Care Homes
As the Yuletide period quickly approaches take a look at some of the festive celebrations happening across our homes.
Middleton Care Home, Leeds started its month-long festivities with a Christmas jumper day. Residents and staff went all out and wore their favourite festive knits.
Langfield Care Home in Greater Manchester have been busy making Christmas cards for their loved ones.
Green Park, Warrington kicked their December festivities off with their highly anticipated annual Christmas Markets, which also included Santa’s grotto and a special visit from therapy ponies.Lisa Brakewell, Activities Coordinator at Green Park said: “It was heartwarming to see everyone have fun on Saturday, the residents absolutely loved seeing everyone and the ponies!’’
Chatsworth Lodge in Chesterfield, welcomed their local college students for a Christmas sing along. They had a festive game of bingo afterwards and even had 2 winners!. Resident Eva said she really enjoyed the singing and it brought back lots of memories of her youth.
Cherry Trees Care Home in Rotherham, got the whole home involved with the decorating for the big day.
It’s safe to say there are no Grinches at these homes! We’re looking forward to seeing what else they get up to as we get closer to the big day!
