Braille Menu At Castleford Lodge

As it is National Braille Week one of the residents at Castleford Lodge, Princess requested a braille menu so the activities staff made it happen!

Princess has a braille writer in her bedroom due to her being blind so the staff bought this out to the lounge of the home and got to work. Staff member Shelly read out the menus to Princess as she typed them out.

The outside was then personalised with Princess’s name to let everyone know that it is her special menu. Shelly had a great time working on this project with Princess, “I learnt so much about writing in braille that I didn’t know before,” she said.
