Residents at Lansbury Court in their American Diner.Residents from Lansbury Court recently stepped into their time machine and travelled back all the way to the swinging sixties for a trip to a proper American Diner.

There’s no such thing as a time machine you say? Well, that may be true, but that didn’t stop residents at Lansbury court, where they have no need for time travel, as the home has its very own, classic American Diner!

Residents kicked back, relaxed and enjoyed listening to some memorable hits from the diner's jukebox, whilst enjoying some ice cream sundaes and pancakes.

“It felt just like being back at Notrianni’s”, commented Mary, one of the residents at Lansbury Court. Notrianni’s was a famous Ice Cream Parlour in Sunderland.

Everyone loved being able to sing along to the memorable sixties songs, one of the residents’ favourites was, ‘Runaway’ by Del Shannon.

“It’s great to be able to come here, enjoy some good food and sing along to some good tunes”, commented Kevin, another resident at Lansbury Court.
