At Riverdale Care Home, our Activity Co-Ordinator organises fun events every week! From bingo to parties and everything in between, there's always something to do at our Chesterfield care home.

Residents have plenty of space to relax, unwind or socialise with friends with our large living rooms and outdoor courtyard.

Our home offers residential dementia care, short-term respite care and dementia nursing care.

• Do you provide short-term respite care?

Yes, we do! Short-term respite care is a great way to try our friendly care home for yourselves, or give your current caregiver a break. 

• What qualifications and training do your team have?

Colleagues are Riverdale Care Home are fully-trained in their respective areas, and have access to great courses through our Learning and Development programme. 

• What is your weekly fee?

• What is included in the weekly fee?

Our weekly fee includes the following:

1. Full board and accommodation in a room for your exclusive use.
2. A choice of meals, plus snacks and drinks.
3. Full use of the communal areas and gardens in the home subject to unit accessibility.
4. The opportunity to join in with activities run in the home and the use of recreational facilities (you may be asked for a financial contribution to the cost of some excursions).
5. The cost of your personal care. For example, assistance with washing, bathing, medication (provided under the NHS free prescription scheme) and other personal services
6. Housekeeping and Laundry undertaken on the premises excluding dry cleaning.
7. Liaison with healthcare professionals.
8. WiFi internet access throughout the home

• Do you accept Local Authority funding?

We accept both privately funded and Local Authority funded residents. Local Authority funded residents may be required to pay a ‘Top-up’ fee if there is a shortfall between the amount that the Local Authority pays and the full amount of our charges.
