Three Birdges - Oomph! Trip to Southport

Left: Resident enjoying a view of the seaside - Right: Residents outside of the Oomph! bus.Residents and staff from Warrington Nursing Home, Three Bridges spent a full day exploring the wonders of Southport as part of their Oomph Trip.

Activity Coordinators and residents wrapped up warm as they got ready for their day out, residents were very excited to visit Southport and were raring to go. The first stop for the group was Morisons café, they enjoyed a meal before starting off on their trip.

Once they got to Southport they headed straight to Lord Street to the shops upon the ladies request and browsed what they had to offer, it wasn’t long before items had been purchased and the ladies were all smiles.

They then took visited the arcade where everyone had heaps of fun playing games before stopping off for a coffee, Kate, a resident on the trip, was all smiles as she said, “this day is fantastic, I can’t wait to do it again.” The day ended with a trip to a nearby park where they stood by the lake and fed the ducks, doing this took residents back to their younger days when they visited the park with their children, it was lovely for them to reminisce. Eva said, “it was an absolutely fantastic day, I loved feeding the ducks.”
