Langfield Care Home - Trip to Knowsley Safari Park

They hopped aboard the minibus and headed to the park ready to see all that was on offer, they saw giraffes, rhinos and best of all lions! The lions were definitely everyone’s favourite as they residents in awe of them, they couldn’t help but comment on how surreal it was to see them up close.

Once they had done a full lap around the park they stopped for some lunch, they enjoyed a picnic made up of sandwiches and sweet treats that had been prepared at the home earlier that morning. Then came the most exciting part, the sea lion show, this was enjoyed by everyone and they didn’t want it to finish.

Residents enjoyed the safari so much that they decided to do another lap around, they enjoyed the second trip just as much as the first and got to see some of the animals that were hiding the first time around. Making the visit extra special was the fact that brother and sister Roy and Dorothy who are both residents at the home came out on the trip, the staff commented that it was lovely to see them out together having fun.
