School children performing the Nativity for residents at Eaton CourtResidents at Eaton Court in Grimsby were delighted when a local Primary School visited them to perform a Nativity.

St. Martin’s Primary School, visited Eaton Court to perform their alternative twist on the traditional nativity play. The children sang a variety of traditional Christmas songs and the residents could not help but join in!

Everybody loved the children’s performance and were singing and clapping the whole way through.

Residents had a lot to say about their visit. “I love seeing the children. I spoke to them and wished them a very merry Christmas”, said Mary.

“Listening to children singing brought back a lot of memories from when I was young”, commented Kath.

“All of the children looked so smart in their uniforms; it was a joy to see”, added Doris.

After the show was done, everybody sat together for a chitchat and refreshments. Eaton Court’s resident chef, Pat, made a batch of fresh cupcakes for everybody to tuck in to, as well as some other treats and goodies!

After a nice long chat over snacks and drinks, it was time for the schoolchildren to leave, but rest assured, they would be back in the New Year to spend more time with the residents.
