Lansbury Court Visits the Seaside

“Oh, I do like to be beside the seaside”… Some grey skies were not going to stop the residents at Lansbury Court enjoy a trip to the seaside!

The Sunderland based Care Home recently hopped aboard the “Oomph” coach and took a trip to Seaham harbour.                

The group explored the seaside town, visiting the various sights and reminiscing about childhood memories.

For resident Olga, who used to live nearby, it was her first time out on the ‘Oomph’ bus and the trip took her to where she first met her husband, Ronnie.

“Once we arrived, Olga began to get quite emotional, as she reminisced about all of the good memories that they had at Seaham harbour”, commented Christine Callaghan, Activities Coordinator at Lansbury Court.

Of course, a trip to the coast wouldn’t be complete without some delicious fish and chips!
