Green Park Put Their Dancing Shoes On

At Green Park most of the residents love to have a sing and dance ever so often and what better way to take advantage of this than to call in a local entertainer!

Mark the singer visited the home and sang some songs for the group, everyone joined in and had a sing along with Mark and in the end he even took some requests from the residents.

Anne was delighted to see Mark and got in to the musical spirit, she even managed to have a cheeky little dance with him, which she enjoyed hugely! The evening ended with a group sing along of que sera sera, this was the perfect ending to a fun afternoon.

The activities team were very happy with the results of this session as they noticed a massive improvement in residents wellbeing and found that the music really made everyone smile. It was clear to everyone that the music helped the residents who have anxiety and helped to calm them down. The home is aiming to have more entertainers visit the home and they can’t wait to see the lasting benefits of music therapy.
