Green Lodge Visit Eden Camp
Green Lodge recently visited Eden Camp on the Oomph bus.
This was a very interesting visit for the residents as they were taken back in time to the war years at Eden Camp. Eden Camp was opened in 1987, in the grounds of an original World War Two Prisoner of War Camp, it has since been developed into a museum.
The group spent the full day at the camp and learnt a lot about the past of the historical site, they got to experience a little of what the blitz was like and also practised rationing. Edna was amazed by how realistic everything was and found it to be an eye-opening experience whilst Beryl loved seeing all the household items that she recognised from her childhood and had not seen in a long time.
