22 August 2018 News

Day trips are a key feature of any vibrant activity programme, and residents Nora and Mavis from Langfield Care Home in Greater Manchester enjoyed a recent trip to the Sealife Centre in Manchester. The aquatic centre is a popular destination, with a wide range of fish on display, as well as turtles and sting rays. The two friends enjoyed a stimulating walk round the centre, before enjoying a bite to eat in the on-site café. Mavis commented, “We both had a lovely day out, and so interesting. I re

ally enjoyed being able to touch the star fish, and seeing all the different colours.” Activity Coordinator Donna Stevenson accompanied the residents, and commented, “There is always lots going on in the home, but having access to the minibus means we can also go further afield and try new experiences. The Sea Life Centre is popular with people of all ages, and we’ll definitely be visiting again.” To keep up to date with news from the home, follow us on Facebook and YouTube.
