Denim for Dementia Day at Ashlea Mews Care Home

An entertainer visits Ashlea Mews Care Home as part of their Denim for Dementia celebrations.

Residents at Ashlea Mews Care Home have been busy for Denim for Dementia as they channelled their creativity and transformed regular bits of denim into art pieces, they used paint to create colourful patterns on the denim and made some lovely creations.

Both staff and residents got into the spirit of the day by putting on their jeans and singing along to the entertainer that they had invited into the home. There were smiles all around as they listened to him perform some of their favourite hits, a few of the residents even got up on their feet. John told the staff, “in all my years, this is the best singer I have been heard!”
