Ashlea Mews Residents Take On Board Games

11 March 2020 News

Residents from Ashlea Mews Care Home in South Shields made the most of a rainy day in by playing Bees and Caterpillars.

They all channelled their competitive side and got to playing, there were plenty of laughs as the residents all attempted to be crowned champion. No night in is complete without playing your favourite hits so residents requested some music to be playing in the background, however, it wasn’t long before they started singing along.

Playing the game bought back many memories for the residents as they recalled the games they used to play when they were younger. Many of the residents have their own kids and spent many nights in playing games with them so this bought back positive memories for them. Ellen told the staff, “I had such a great time playing games today.”
