There is always something fun and exciting going on in our home! We offer a wide range of daily activities including karaoke, exercising, baking, playing games or simply chatting with friends.

• Do you have communal areas where residents can socialise?

Penwortham Grange & Lodge Care Home offers many communal areas. Whether you want to relax, watch your favourite programmes or socialise, our lounges are accessible for all!

• What types of care do you offer?

Penwortham Grange & Lodge Care Home offers residential, dementia, and respite care.

• Do you provide short-term respite care?

Yes! We offer short-term respite care at our care home. Not only is respite care perfect to give the person's carer a short break, it's also a great way to try out our home before deciding on long-term care!

• What qualifications and training do your team have?

Orchard Care Homes are proud to have an excellent training & development team, who focus on helping our colleagues thrive in their role. From day 1, staff have access to a wide range of courses; including role specific Apprenticeship Standard, approved and regulated by Ofqual. 

• What is your weekly fee?

The weekly care home fee will depend on a variety of factors; including the needs of your loved one and the room they require. However, you can see our guide to weekly starting fees in our Key Facts overview.

• What is included in the weekly fee?

Our weekly fee includes the following:

1. Full board and accommodation in a room for your exclusive use.
2. A choice of meals, plus snacks and drinks.
3. Full use of the communal areas and gardens in the home subject to unit accessibility.
4. The opportunity to join in with activities run in the home and the use of recreational facilities (you may be asked for a financial contribution to the cost of some excursions).
5. The cost of your personal care. For example, assistance with washing, bathing, medication (provided under the NHS free prescription scheme) and other personal services
6. Housekeeping and Laundry undertaken on the premises excluding dry cleaning.
7. Liaison with healthcare professionals.
8. WiFi internet access throughout the home

• Do you accept Local Authority funding?

We accept both privately funded and Local Authority funded residents. Local Authority funded residents may be required to pay a ‘Top-up’ fee if there is a shortfall between the amount that the Local Authority pays and the full amount of our charges.
