The Gentlemen from Green Park Care Home Visit The Liverpool Museum

The staff from Green Park Care Home decided to treat the gentlemen to a good day out so asked them where they wanted to go, Bill and Keith decided on The Liverpool Museum straight off so the staff got to work in arranging the visit.

The first thing they did when they arrived at Liverpool was head to the docks, this bought back a lot of memories for Keith as he recalled getting on a boat from the docks when he was 15 and off to join the Navy.

Once they got inside the museum they walked around exploring and were surprised to find out that they were holding a blitz exhibition on that day, Bill and Keith both remember experiencing this so it was a bittersweet moment for them.

They ended the day with a cup of tea and a slice of cake as they shared stories about their childhood with one another, everyone agreed that visiting the museum was a great experience and Bill told the staff, “thank you for a fabulous day out.”
