Remembrance Day Preparations At Lansbury Court
Staff and residents at Lansbury Court spoke about how they wanted to decorate the home this year and everyone agreed that they wanted a display that people could see from outdoors.
They began work by painting poppies on the window, Dora took charge as she feels very passionately about Remembrance Day, she spent her younger years marching around Castletown with the British Legion. As she painted she told staff, “even though I can’t get out, I want to show people that I still remember.”
They all agreed that this was a great way of engaging with the public, they are looking forward to school children and members of the community walking past the home and seeing the display.
