Preston local Lynette Williams is leading a caring and inspiring campaign to engage her colleagues and the local community in a bid to bring additional festive cheer to residents of Penwortham Grange and Lodge care home this Christmas. Inspired by her Uncle Parry, who lived in the home before he passed away last year, Lynette has launched Parry’s Presents, which will bring gifts to residents from the Preston care home. Lynette has promoted this with the strong support of the company she works for, Independent Inspections in Preston, requesting donations of gifts, food items and volunteering time from her willing colleagues. “I admired my Uncle Parry for the work he did within his community and I wanted to do something that would honour his considerate and charitable nature,” comments Lynette. “I also wanted to thank Penwortham Grange and Lodge for the care he received and I thought my idea would help enhance the positive atmosphere within the home over Christmas”. Parry Richardson dedicated a great deal of his spare time to working closely with nearby charities, including his local Church, Preston Parish Church.  Tracey Tomlinson, Head of Customer Experience at Orchard Care Homes, said “What an inspiration Lynette is; we are incredibly thankful for her time.”
