In support of the charity Breast Cancer Now, the Activities Co-ordinator at Lansbury Court Care Home dressed up in pink clothing to raise money. Breast Cancer Now provides life-changing research and care for people affected by breast cancer.

Christine the Activities Co-ordinator at the home is 14 years in remission, which is absolutely fantastic so everyone at the care home decided they wanted to get involved with breast cancer awareness month and raise money for others going through what Christine went through, and hopefully help them by supporting the charity.

They raised the money by doing a sweepstake and a raffle, residents friends and families visited the home and got involved with all the fun activities that were happening. They also sold cupcakes, all iced in the colour pink to keep with the theme of “Wear it Pink.”

Through donations and selling cakes and raffle tickets the home managed to raise a fantastic £101 for the charity, well done Lansbury Court!
