knit.jpgFour of the lovely ladies over at Cherry Trees care home enjoyed having a bonding session over knitting

The ladies were taken back to their younger days as they recalled how they had learnt to knit, they are all big fans of knitting so this was the perfect way for the ladies, to spend the afternoon. The ladies enjoyed a nice cup of tea whilst sharing stories, Marjory told her friends “this takes me right back to knitting things for my children when they were babies.”

The rest of the ladies, however, were all taken back in time to the days where they sat with their parents and grandparents learning how to knit, Ethel enjoyed the session and couldn’t stop smiling, “I have such lovely memories of knitting with my grandparents.”

Helen who is a new resident at Cherry Trees care home, loves to clean up and stay busy so after the knit and natter class Helen volunteered to wash the dishes and tidy us, “I used to love doing housework, I spent many years working as a cleaner at my local morissons and I enjoyed it so much,” she said.
