28 June 2019 News

edit_9.jpgGreen Park care home had a very exciting day with the sun shining as they celebrated Care Home Open Day.

The home welcomed resident’s friends and family alongside visitors from the community and put on some special treats for them!

As the event was focused on art within homes they decided to set up and sell their own art work, the art pieces on sale were created by the residents with the help of local artist, Chris Beesley. Alongside this there were stalls with items on sale, the home set up a “geeky stall” which sold comic books and action figures which were kindly donated by a family member of one of our residents.

There were visitors of all ages present at the event and the entertainment was enjoyed by all. We had the wonderful entertainer Carl Gordon who sang for us, alongside local Dance troop, Rosabeth Royales.

The day was a huge success with a lot of people attending and the home made close to £200 from all sales which will go towards the resident’s fund. Well done Green Park!
