25 November 2019 News

1_2.jpgA group of residents from Cherry Trees Care Home visited New York Stadium to watch Rotherham United play!

Residents were very excited about this trip as most of them are avid football fans and haven’t been to watch a game in a long time. Maurice was the first one ready to go as he said he has not been to watch any football matches in years, Phil agreed and was very excited to be able to see all the players in action.

But most excited for the match was Margaret, she has been a Rotherham United supporter for as long as she can remember as have her family so this was the ultimate day out for her. Margaret was so happy that her wish came true, she said, “I thought I would never be able to go watch a football match again!”

She was smiling and cheering the whole way through up until the final whistle blew and Rotherham United were crowned the winners, it was a great day for everyone and they can't stop raving about how much of a fun time they had.
