Eckington Court Prepare for Spring

Residents from Derbyshire care home, Eckington Court, have been keeping busy getting their garden ready for Spring.

They began their preparations by planting fresh bulbs, they all got stuck into the project and can’t wait to see how it blossoms. Moving on from this they took to polishing up the newly built retirement home where their chickens reside, they mucked out the chicken coops and cleaned the exterior leaving it looking impressive.

Once the garden was looking in great shape residents moved inside and began work on transforming an old pub table into a personalised games table. Everyone is enjoying this project and can’t wait to see the finished result, Doug has been hard at work loving every second of it, “getting my hands dirty is such a lovely familiar feeling, I always used to be tinkering with little projects, its great to get my hands on my old tools and feeling useful.”
