Eckington Court Host a Seaside Themed Summer Fair

Eckington Court open up their doors to a seaside themed day of fun!

Excitement was in full swing at the Derbyshire based care home as they welcomed visitors to attend their summer fair. With a variety of stalls set up alongside a local singer visiting the home, there was plenty of fun in the air. 

In honour of the seaside theme, there was a beach and treasure chest which the children visiting loved as they made some lovely sandcastles. They also had lots of fun playing fairground rides, the most popular one being hook a duck! Everyone enjoyed a nice burger from the bbq alongside a glass of pimms and lemonade which got them all up on their feet.

Residents loved having visitors at the home and it gave them the chance to have some fun, the home pulled out all the stops for the events including home made fresh to order candy floss and fudge alongside popcorn and sticks of rock. The most popular stall was definitely the cake stall as nobody can say no to cake!

Residents said the event bought back a lot of memories for them and the smell of candyfloss and hotdogs reminded them of all the visits that they used to make to the seaside when they were younger.
