The Manager of Eaton Court care home, Anne worked in a home previously where there was an initiative called Betty’s Bunch in honour of a resident Betty whose daughter used to bring her a bunch of flowers every visit to cheer her up. Once Betty passed away this tradition continued and the flowers would be given to a resident or staff member.

Anne recalled this as being a brilliant initiative and spoke to the staff at Eaton Court about adopting this ritual, they were more than happy with this therefore the home will now be awarding “Betty’s Bunch” every week in memory of a lovely lady and her daughter

Resident Betty from Eaton Court Care Home in Grimsby has recently been feeling under the weather, Betty has been spent some time at the hospital, getting some rest. The home decided that they wanted Betty to be the first recipient of Betty’s Bunch, to cheer her up and let her know how pleased they all were that she was on the mend. Betty was overjoyed with the surprise and said “I’m so happy to receive these, thank you so much for thinking of me.”
