Eaton Court Get Musical as They Celebrate VE Day
Residents and staff from Eaton Court Care Home enjoyed sitting out in the garden singing along to their favourite classics as they celebrated VE Day.
They spent the morning waving their flags and enjoying some of Vera Lynn’s hits before indulging in a slice of cake and a cup of tea. Residents wore big smiles on their faces as they shared stories of their younger days.
It was not long before they tucked into their lunch of fish and chips with a nice helping of peas, feeling like they were sat on the seafront watching the tide. Spirits were high as everyone sang along to the music that was playing talking about their favourite songs of the time.
They ended the day with another slice of cake and a glass of wine before heading off to bed.
