Ashlea Mews Get in the Halloween Spirit

12 October 2019 News

halloween.jpgWith October upon us, the residents at Ashlea Mews care home in South Shields are preparing for Halloween.

A group of residents at the home got together to do some colouring, they took a range of Halloween inspired pictures and got to work. The pictures ranged from pumpkins to trick or treat images and residents picked out their favourites.

Whilst colouring in the pictures, residents listened to their favourite music and reminisced about past Halloween. Brenda enjoyed the session and said, “I’m not that good at colouring but I really enjoy the socialising and chatting part.”

The group shared stories about their favourite bit of the holiday and there were many laughs. Rita told everyone, "as a child I used to have a big garden, and when people came to trick and treat I would jump out at them, it was so fun!"
