Ashlea Mews Get Creative With Woodwork

Residents from Ashlea Mews Care Home reflected on their working days as they enjoyed some woodwork.

With three of their residents being joiners during their working lives, this was the perfect activity for them to partake in. The three gentlemen got together and began working on sanding a piece of wood. Neil loved this as it reminded him of working n the docks and builted parts for cabins, he was more than happy to show off his skills and get to work.

Ronnie also had experience in the field as he used to build a variety of things, the three men enjoyed sanding down some pieces of wood whilst sharing stories and reminiscing about previous work that they have done. Neil said “I have really enjoyed this, it reminded me of my past jobs and it is so nice to be reminded.”
