Welcome to St Helen's Hall & Lodge Care Home - A specialist dementia residential and short term respite care home in Merseyside.

My name is Amanda Clark and I am the Home Manager here at St Helen's Hall & Lodge.  I have worked here since the home first opened in 2008, starting off as a Senior Carer I progressed to Deputy Manager then in 2011 I became Care Manager and in 2015 was promoted to Home Manager.

St Helen's Hall & Lodge offers focused care for older people in a homely environment in Merseyside.  One of our housekeepers, Kerry McGuinness was awarded Housekeeper of the Year and our Activity Coordinator, Jackie Smith was awarded Activity Coordinator of the Year at this year's Orchard Care Homes' Heart Awards. Our home also won the Platinum Award at the Falls Management Event run by St Helens Council.

The home offers a wide range of features designed with the comfort, privacy and independent lifestyle choices of residents in mind

We have a dedicated Activity Coordinator, Jackie, who arranges a variety of activities in the home including film afternoons which take place twice weekly in the cinema room, trips out, entertainers visiting the home, and much more ensuring that each resident's hobbies and interests are catered to.

A daily menu which changes daily of homecooked meals are served from the dressed dining room, tailored to suit the individual needs and likes of the residents.

We want our residents to be as active and engaged as they can be. With this in mind, we have appointed dedicated Activity Coordinators in each home, who are tasked with creating a daily programme of events and activities that are designed around the interests and hobbies of our residents.

Whether it's a home-made pie or a fresh fruit sponge, our cooks pride themselves on knowing the tastes of our Residents. We provide a quality menu with a range of choices for all our residents. We offer a selection of snacks and fresh fruit which is available throughout the day.
